Artist Lolita Dickinson

 

Lolita Dickinson is a native of South Alabama and currently resides in Mobile, Alabama.

Lolita works in various mediums and produces both realistic and semi-abstract works of art.  Subject matter includes:

  • Local life and subjects of the Gulf Coast and the Delta Region,
    • Water scenes
    • Logging roads
    • Wildlife
    • Mardi Gras
    • Local historical architecture
    • Still Life subjects
  • Scenes influnced from her travels in the US and abroad
    • Europe
    • Americas
    • Africa

Using a very diverse pallet to create her paintings and drawings, she paints in primarily in oils and acrylics.   Her landscapes, water scenes, and abstract works often are filled with light reminiscent of the atmospheric paintings of her favorite English Painter, J.M.W. Turner.

Lolita is an award winning artist and holds a BS degree in Organization Management from the University of Mobile where she graduated with honors.  

Over the years, she has studied art with a number of nationally recognized artists and attended art classes in local art groups and universities.   Her work is displayed in private collections world wide.
